EVA platform
The platform has been set up as a representative large-scaled charging infrastructure platform that by means of a wide range of electrical vehicles and dataloggers aims at defining the most suitable geographical coverage for public charging stations, studying its impact on the electricity grid and investigating how the charging costs should be charged to the user. As city and provincial councils also participate in the project, the important impact on the public domain will be sufficiently shed on.
As much as 161 vehicles are provided for the project. 114 fall within the subsidized project and another 44 will be tested by the consortium. In total, 59 e-cars, 52 e-vans, 3 e-buses, 25 e-scooters, 15 e-bicycles and 7 e-quads will be deployed. Most of the cars are electrical cars already driving around. To be able to charge these vehicles, 220 charging points with two connections each will be installed, spread over three years. They will be placed into 71 so-called charging isles in 44 cities and municipalities. 200 of these charging points will be publicly open. The majority (170) will have connections for cars, bicycles and scooters, and 50 of them will only be available for electrical bicycles. There will also be 3 fast charging points in Total filling stations.
