ACE | Answers to the Carbon Economy
The project “Answers to the Carbon Economy” seeks to find a way to reduce the carbon emissions on three levels: individual businesses, business networks and business parks.
The ACE project aims to provide practical and economic solutions for the carbon economy with the focus on low carbon initiatives and renewable energy, and on the implementation of the 20:20:20 CO2 target reductions into economic opportunities in order to place the 2 Seas area in the spearhead of the worldwide competitive position. The objectives of the projects are translated in activities on the level of businesses, business networks (B2B) and business parks:
Act.1 – business level – application of low carbon technical solutions (e.g. energy efficiency, rational energy use and renewable energy) as well as juridical and financial instruments on the level of individual businesses and buildings.
Act.2 – B2B level – encouraging and creating a bigger competiveness by finding low carbon solutions, decreasing the consumption and waste by stimulating networks, informal and economical links between companies through e.g. integrated industrial ecological systems.
Act.3 – business park level – facilitating low carbon approaches for drawing up the master plans, financing, design, infrastructure, development and marketing of business parks and the management after the occupation. ACE will work together with at least 22 new and established business park in the 2 Seas area.
